In William Golding's Lord of the Flies there are many different examples of the use of a technique called Juxtaposition. Juxtaposition is the use of two different events happening simultaneously with dramatic contrasts in mood to each other. In the novel Lord of the Flies, William Golding uses this technique to enhance dramatic and important scenes by adding a contrast to show contrasts of good in evil within humans themselves.
